Camp
On Sunday, Judy, Liz, Jeanie and I took the ferry to Mackinac Island.

The fort is still standing1...

After a quick pit stop, we were ready to head up to old Fort Holmes.

Back from the Island, we broke camp. Judy's new Danish-made Combi-Camp unit gave a whole new meaning to the term "pop-up."

We were the only bikers aboard.

...but under repair in some places.

Along the way, we stopped to check out Arch Rock. (Those aren't really whitecaps that you see through the arch.)

...and later pose within the earth walls of Fort Holmes.

That concludes this year's Tour pictures. How about joining us next year? (Last year's pictures are available on my "More Pics" page.)

The annual Big "Mac" Scenic Shoreline Spring Bike Tour was held this weekend in Mackinaw City.

Do you think that the cold wind and driving rain were a factor?

The "dew" on these geraniums just looks like rain.

The woods were filled with wild flowers.

On the way down, Judy and I stopped at this exhibit of a bark church, complete with a native American and Fr. Pierre Marquette.
