We took a trip into Traverse City, walked along the bay
and saw some of the local sites.
June 19-22, 2009: Jeanie, Kathy and I got together for our annual camping trip. Although we have taken part in the Mackinaw City bike tour most years, we decided, for the second year in a row, to just try a campground that was new to us. This year it was Timber Ridge Campground in Traverse City, MI.

Back at the campground, the obligatory photo of our
two campsites had to be taken.

Each evening, games of dodgeball took place. Just about
every age group had a chance to try their skill.

Above the center line of the dodgeball pit were flashing,
colored lights and a rotating mirror ball. When we initially
saw it on our arrival, we thought that they held dances
in the sand.

On Sunday, we decided to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes
National Lakeshore. Jeanie and Kathy had been there
before, but it was totally new to me.

Kathy and I decided to make our way to the water. At the
top of the first dune, we looked back to see Glen lake.

Another shot from the third dune.

A panoramic view .
