Irene Van der Lande's Letter

We managed to contact Irene Van der Lande in Holland. Although she doesn't have email, she did send us a letter and a family photo, enclosed in a graduation card. The text is transcribed from her hand-written note.

Dear Bob,

Thanks so much for your invitation for the reunion of the St. Anthony High School! Too bad I can't come, but I hope you have a wonderful time. It is a long time ago, but I remember this wonderful and most exciting year!! Good that you insisted to find me and my family made contact to me in Velp. I am married and my husband was a neurologist and worked in the hospital. Now he is 66 and works three days a week also in the medical field. I am still working as an interior designer. I really love my job. We have two children. [name illegible] a daughter, who is married and a son who is still reading at university international business. We live in a house in the middle of The Netherlands after we were living in Amsterdam where my husband became specialist (neurologist). What are you all doing. Life goes by so fast! We should now enjoy every moment! You all made life in the States so wonderful. I always look to CNN on television. I once was in the States for a congress. I always feel connected with the USA. I hope to hear from you soon and all the plans of the reunion. I will include these pictures of my family. Thank you that you thought of me, and did all the effort to find me. Hope to hear from you soon. Love to all of you.

Yours,

Irene
