St.
Anthony Parish and Annunciation/Our Lady
of Sorrows Parish merged in June 2006 to
form Good Shepherd parish. A letter from
Fr. Michael, the pastor of St. Anthony,
stated that the faith community of St.
Anthony would be relocating to the former
Annunciation/OLS site, located at 1265
Parkview, Detroit - off East Jefferson.
Fr. Michael has been appointed pastor of
the new parish. Although the Alumni &
Friends dinner dances are no longer being
held, Fr. Michael invited grads and
former parishioners to join the St.
Anthony Feast Day activities at Good
Shepherd Parish. The first event at the
new location was held on June 10, 2007.
5/29/09 - Good Shepherd Parish has a new
web site, http://www.goodshepherddet.com;
their email address is goodshepherddet@sbcglobal.net.
This year's all Alumni Mass
and Raffle will be held on June 14, 2009
starting with Mass at 10:00 a.m. for
those who attended Annunciation, Our Lady
of Sorrows, St. Anthony, or St. Rose
Schools. Come out and celebrate!
