Everywhere one looked, there were flowers like these hybiscus and pansies.

We visited the Carter House in Franklin, a site commemorating the Battle of
Franklin which took place on November 30, 1864. Marge and Karen check out some
of the Civil War photos in the museum.

Bird feeders are placed where they can be seen from the deck and the house.
It took three days for me to get close enough to shoot this cardinal.
Marge has become quite the artist.
The Carter residence was caught in the center of one of the bloodiest battles
in the War of the States: 6,252 Confederate soldiers and 2,326 Federalist (Union)
soldiers were killed, wounded or missing in action.

The weather was beautiful while we were there, cool
at night, warm and sunny during the day.
